gah

So I interviewed at a community college last Thrsday, for a recruiter position.
I thought the interview went OK, and so I sent the thank you note and forgot about it.

On Monday I get an email saying :
"I think everyone agrees that you would make a wonderful addition to Rachel's team. I will be contacting your references tomorrow and I'd like you to come in later in the week for a final interview. I will call or email you tomorrow to set up a time.

Thanks"

So I get all excited and alert my references, and ...nothing.

On Tuesday evening, about  4:30, I called to check in, and was told that they were so swamped that no one had time to cal my references , but I should be ready to come in on Thursday to fill out some paperwork. They also said they would call me as to the when.

And silence from then on. My references have not been contacted...

Today I have to see my shrink and meet with a new source for the writing project. One's at 3, the other at 1.

So the question is, do I spend the day in a suit,  lug it about with me, or just forget about this since they're not following through and start looking for other jobs?

Job update

So they called me at 3 PM at my shrink's office ( movie moment, that) and told me to show up tomorrow at 9 with my ID and social.
Methinks an offer is in the air.

I'm gonna wear slacks, a white shit and a tie.
It's gonna be 30C tomorrow.

So there.
